Brow Lift

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure designed to rejuvenate your appearance and boost your self-confidence by improving the appearance of the facial region between the upper eyelids and the scalp, extending to the temples. Over time, factors like aging and gravity can lead to sagging eyebrows, wrinkles, and fine lines on the forehead. These conditions may be due to genetic predispositions or attributed to the natural aging process. They may also contribute to a tired or sad resting expression. This procedure improves low placement or sagging of the brows and minimizes the appearance of those lines and creases in the forehead. By reducing furrows and other signs of aging in the forehead and brow areas, a brow lift offers a life-changing opportunity to restore a more relaxed, softer look and enhance your overall facial symmetry. Brow lift surgery is a gateway not only to a more youthful appearance, but also to a profound boost in self-confidence.

What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift is a highly specialized surgical process that involves lifting the skin and tissue on the forehead to create a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Dr. Ritrosky pays meticulous attention to your unique facial features and works closely with you to understand your goals and expectations to ensure that your procedure aligns perfectly with your unique facial features and your vision. The procedure is highly adaptable, allowing you to tailor your results to your specific goals. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis under intravenous anesthesia. The incisions are typically made behind the hairline. For patients with high foreheads, the incisions can sometimes be placed in front of the hairline. The forehead skin is lifted and repositioned, and the muscles that cause “frown lines” are weakened.

What does healing look like?

Following your brow lift, you’ll go home with your head wrapped in dressings, which are typically removed on the first or second day after your procedure. Initial swelling and discomfort can be managed with oral pain medication. It is important to remember that everyone heals differently, and if you ever have any questions or concerns about your healing process, we are here to support you.
